EXTRA HEAVY DUTY ELASTIC AND STITCHING FOR A RUGGED PAIR A SUSPENDERS - These western-style suspenders are rugged and extremely durable, made with 1.5-inch wide low stretch elastic. Designed with a Y-back, the belt loop attachments allow you to slip a belt right through the suspender ends so you can wear both a belt and suspenders! The 7 oz. latigo leather adjustable buckle ends provide about 2-inches of length adjustment. The BLACK, CACTUS GREEN & THUNDER GREY colors have black leather belt loops; the DESERT & SAGE have deep brown leather belt loops. We carry these in 5 sizes - Medium (42-inches long), Large (45-inches long), Extra Large (48-inches long), 2XL (51-inches long) & 3XL (54-inches long).

SIZE GUIDE FOR RUGGED COMFORT WESTERN SUSPENDERS

Our Rugged Comfort suspenders feature heavy-duty low-stretch elastic straps and are adjustable on the front only via the leather buckle strap. For each size, there is about 4 inches of adjustability.

To determine which size to order, take a tape measure and measure from the center of the back where the suspenders will attach to the pants, diagonally up over one shoulder, and then straight down the side of the chest to where the suspenders will attach to the pants on that front side. This is your suspender measurement in inches. Look up this measurement in the chart below, to see which size of the style you intend to order will fit you best. For instance, if you are planning to purchase a Trigger Snap suspender and your suspender measurement is 44 inches, you should order a Large which will fit people with suspender measurements between 43 and 47 inches. While you could possibly wear a medium, you would need to wear the suspender at its fully extended length. The large would provide greater adjustability.

The Belt Loop and Trigger Snap styles run slightly shorter than the Button style. The size ranges for the Rugged Comfort suspenders, in inches are:

Because many of our leather suspenders are handcrafted, there is a large degree of variability between the sizes of the different suspender styles. Suspender sizes indicate the length of the suspender straps in inches from the end of the attachment point in the front past the cross patch on the back to the tip of the attachment point on the back.

How to Measure

The most accurate way to determine the correct suspender size is to use a tape measure on the person who will be wearing the suspenders as shown in the image below:

Once you have this measurement, round up to the next size suspender, since the suspender size indicates the length of the straps fully extended and the suspenders can be shortened, not lengthened.

Note: If the measurement is very close to a suspender size and you prefer the adjusters to fall high on the torso, order the next size up. For example, if you measure 41 inches, the adjusters on a 42-inch suspender will fall about 1 inch above the waistband of the pants or skirt, whereas those of a 48-inch suspender will fall about 7 inches above the waistband. This is simply a matter of personal preference.

All U.S. orders are shipped via the US Postal Service (USPS). Rates vary by the number of items in your order. The estimated delivery timeframes by type of service are:

Assuming your suspenders are unsoiled and unworn (other than try-on of course!), we are happy to make an exchange or issue a refund. Simply follow the instructions on the back of your packing slip and mail them back to us either

If you are returning your suspenders because we made a mistake, call us at 800-393-4508 and we will send you the correct suspenders with a postage-paid return envelope.

If you simply want a different pair of suspenders, we ask that you pay the postage to return the suspenders. If your shipping address is within the U.S., we will ship your replacement suspenders to you for free. Or, for a $6.00 fee we will send you the new suspenders with a postage paid return envelope for the return item – just call us at 800-393-4508 to arrange.
