Notice that this style of Western suspenders has elongated, genuine leather ends that are featured prominently in the front. These leather ends have buckles and attach to convenient trigger snap clips. It's a look that's sure to become one of your favorites because these suspenders make a strong fashion statement, and they also offer superior holding power.
The leather and trigger snaps combine to create the ruggedness you want in suspenders that can be worn for work and play. Their low-stretch elastic features stitching that is three times heavier than our other elastic suspenders. Put them on with your favorite pair of "lived-in" jeans and work boots. You can also wear them with khakis, work pants and cowboy boots. The Y-back gives them a bit of a dressy edge, making them versatile suspenders to wear for all kinds of occasions. Choose from five colors. Black, cactus green and thunder grey all feature black leather trim; desert brown and sage feature dark-brown leather trim.
SIZE GUIDE FOR RUGGED COMFORT WESTERN SUSPENDERS
Our Rugged Comfort suspenders feature heavy-duty low-stretch elastic straps and are adjustable on the front only via the leather buckle strap. For each size, there is about 4 inches of room for adjustment.
To determine which size to order, take a tape measure and measure from the center of the back where the suspenders will attach to the pants, diagonally up over one shoulder, and then straight down the side of the chest to where the suspenders will attach to the pants on that front side. This is your suspender measurement in inches. Look up this measurement in the chart below, to see which size of the style you intend to order will fit you best. For instance, if you are planning to purchase a Trigger Snap suspender and your suspender measurement is 44 inches, you should order a Large which will fit people with suspender measurements between 43 and 47 inches. While you could possibly wear a medium, you would need to wear the suspender at its fully extended length. The large would provide greater adjustability.
The Belt Loop and Trigger Snap styles run slightly shorter than the Button style. The size ranges for the Rugged Comfort suspenders, in inches, are:

Because many of our leather suspenders are handcrafted, there is a large degree of variability between the sizes of the different suspender styles. Suspender sizes indicate the length of the suspender straps in inches from the end of the attachment point in the front past the cross patch on the back to the tip of the attachment point on the back.

How to Measure
The most accurate way to determine the correct suspender size is to use a tape measure on the person who will be wearing the suspenders as shown in the image below:
Once you have this measurement, round up to the next size suspender, since the suspender size indicates the length of the straps fully extended and the suspenders can be shortened, not lengthened.
Note: If the measurement is very close to a suspender size and you prefer the adjusters to fall high on the torso, order the next size up. For example, if you measure 41 inches, the adjusters on a 42-inch suspender will fall about 1 inch above the waistband of the pants or skirt, whereas those of a 48-inch suspender will fall about 7 inches above the waistband. This is simply a matter of personal preference.
