What is the difference between regular suspenders and men's side clip suspenders? Side clip suspenders clip on the sides of your pants and the others have front clips. The side placement of suspender clips can be quite noticeable in certain situations. For instance, getting in and out of your vehicle can be done without the constant need to pull up your pants when you this unique style of men's clip-on suspenders. These side clip suspenders feature a unique construction. The front straps of the suspenders hook to your pants at your hips and go up your torso and over your shoulders. They also cross in the back and loop back around to your hips. Here's a quick explanation of how to use these suspender clips. To put them on, simply slip your arms through the suspenders as though you are putting on a jacket. Now, clip them to your side waistband. That's it!

Suspender sizes indicate the length of the suspender straps in inches from the end of the attachment point in the front past the cross patch on the back to the tip of the attachment point on the back.

How to Measure
The most accurate way to determine the correct suspender size is to use a tape measure on the person who will be wearing the suspenders as shown in the image below:
Once you have this measurement, round up to the next size suspender, since the suspender size indicates the length of the straps fully extended and the suspenders can be shortened, not lengthened.
Note: If the measurement is very close to a suspender size and you prefer the adjusters to fall high on the torso, order the next size up. For example, if you measure 41 inches, the adjusters on a 42-inch suspender will fall about 1 inch above the waistband of the pants or skirt, whereas those of a 48-inch suspender will fall about 7 inches above the waistband. This is simply a matter of personal preference.
