When it comes to our firefighter suspenders, we've gone to great lengths to ensure that ours work as hard as the men and women wearing them. The suspenders firefighters wear must meet certain criteria & we tick the boxes on all of them, including: durably constructed, crafted from quality materials & comfortable to wear.
Firefighters must rely on only the best equipment to help them do their jobs, why should what they wear be any different? Our firefighter suspenders are finely crafted products that stand up to the challenges of an average day in the life of a firefighter. Firefighting is a physically taxing career, that's why these heavy-duty fire suspenders are made of 2-inch wide low-stretch elastic material to ensure a comfortable & snug fit. The suspenders are made to keep up with physical activity & provide just the right amount of flexibility while also facilitating supporting heavy loads more easily. They also feature heavily riveted leather that is slotted to fit 1" wide buttons. Front attachments each have a genuine leather button attachment, and the rear has four separate leather button holes, each attached to its own elastic strap. A black leather crosspatch in the rear provides extra reinforcement. Metal slide adjusters allow for a perfect fit.

Suspender sizes indicate the length of the suspender straps in inches from the end of the attachment point in the front past the cross patch on the back to the tip of the attachment point on the back.

How to Measure
The most accurate way to determine the correct suspender size is to use a tape measure on the person who will be wearing the suspenders as shown in the image below:
Once you have this measurement, round up to the next size suspender, since the suspender size indicates the length of the straps fully extended and the suspenders can be shortened, not lengthened.
Note: If the measurement is very close to a suspender size and you prefer the adjusters to fall high on the torso, order the next size up. For example, if you measure 41 inches, the adjusters on a 42-inch suspender will fall about 1 inch above the waistband of the pants or skirt, whereas those of a 48-inch suspender will fall about 7 inches above the waistband. This is simply a matter of personal preference.
